"A Little Help With The Lights, Please"...

We are so excited to share some BIG news! You may have heard - we are moving! To accommodate the demand for our workshops and demonstrations we will be moving to a larger studio this summer in a beautiful old church at 421 Spicer St. To help cover some of the costs, we have developed a crowdfunding campaign that runs from May 2 to June 6, 2016.

Akron Glass Works is moving to a new location and we couldn't be more excited about it! A new space means we can bring MORE glass blowing opportunities to the wonderful people of Greater Akron, but we need your help!

Crowdfunding donations will go toward:

  • Electric Contracting
    Our fabulous new studio is a raw space and will need specialized electrical infrastructure.
     
  • Glass Furnace Re-build
    The glass furnace in the hot shop is in need of new ceramic crucible, walls, door, and insulation. 
     
  • Color Furnace
    An additional small furnace will help us provide more workshops for you!
